wisconsin romney is also in ohio today. in aetna and westchester both counties that voted republican the last three elections. you look at the president's campaign schedule and it makes the buckeye state look like an airline hub for airforce one with ohio stops every day through the election. colorado, swing through florida, got to change planes in ohio. mitt romney not only focused on ohio but is trying to broaden the battleground map. what is he up to here with this decision to campaign in pennsylvania on sunday? he's also got new hampshire on his list twice not once. the smallest swing state. they think it is edging their direction but more importantly for their math the 270 they don't get there with florida, virginia, ohio. they get there with florida, virginia, ohio, and one small state in this case new hampshire. meanwhile vice president joe biden makes two stops in wisconsin. congressman paul ryan begins his day in colorado before flying back to the midwest for a rally in cedar falls, iowa. then he joins romney in westchester in ohio tonight. then there's former president bill cli

talking points to both. we heard mitt romney say and we heard it earlier, that the fact that it inched up to 7.9%, even though there were 171,000 net new jobs, that permits mitt romney to say there are more people, higher rate of unemployment than when barack obama took office. so, the president can say we've got another month of new hiring and net pluses, so it becomes a wash. anybody disagree with that? >> no. i think that's right. i would say look, the best -- we've known for months i think that the best case political scenario for barack obama when it comes to the economy is sort of a muddle. that the way he loses is if the unemployment rate remains high, jobs -- the jobs are not -- are 75,000, 80,000 jobs created no talking point where he can say it's not where we want it to be but i think it's getting better, so i think a muddle -- it's sort of the tie goes to the incumbent. in baseball, be it's muddled enough it winds up not helping mitt romney which means it helps barack obama a little bit. >> let me ask you, charlie, just switching gears for a second, unless you disagree with

romney both promising a lot of bipartisanship if they win on tuesday but with dozens of congressional moderates from both parties headed for the exit thanks to retirement and some expected losses. don't be surprised if the 113th congress is actually even more idiosyncrasy logically polarized than this one was. the chair of the national republican committee chairman sessions joins me now. i give you kudos off the top. you were the lone voice who predicted republicans could gain seats in 2012. let me read you the projection, they believe that the range on house is plus five gop to plus ten dem from charlie cook. their best, they think either between no net change or democrats with a small gain and eight plus dm, two plus republican. it is within the realm of the possible. how did that happen? >> the possible happened because the republicans have not only aimed for and listened to the american people on the job and jobs creation problem but we have i think effectively sold that we'll deal with the issues exactly as the president has given them. there was $700 billion cut out of medicare.

, close obama win, close romney win or big romney win and if you talk to some republicans, both connected to the campaign and one step away from the center of the campaign they are starting to talk about the possibility and you see in the republicans movement into pennsylvania, minnesota, and perhaps michigan the possibility that they are not just trying to hedge their bets or trying to expand the map out of desperation but a real belief this thing could be bigger, an oregon polls that show the shows the race close, certainly closer than the president won four years ago i think the momentum is with romney and the obama people are not just spinning when they say, look, out of that first debate in denver he doesn't have momentum where he overwhelmed us he brought home the base be does president's in number has not chanced by any means but pretty pistol hid and that means governor romney has upward momentum or has had it, maybe that has stalled we don't really though but the president does not have bad momentum he is not collapsing in any way, i think that the momentum in this race
